Hamad Medical Corporation held the 2nd Qatar International Foot and Ankle Conference on 12 and 13 December 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel in Doha, with more than 300 participants from the medical and nursing professions in orthopaedic surgery from inside and outside Qatar.
The presentation
Dr Mohammad Eid, then training in orthopaedic surgery in the Kuwaiti Board in orthopaedics and fractures, took part with a scientific paper entitled "Minimally invasive surgery for the Achilles tendon" (a comparative study in a rabbit model, the subject of his master's research at Kuwait University). It won first place among the papers presented.

The conference brought together some of the best-known foot and ankle surgeons in the world, from the United States, Germany and Canada.
